What we offer

our services

PLEASE NOTE: All Services Are by Appointment
OUR FACILITY Cannot Accommodate Drop-In or Walk-in Visitors

All our services are offered by a Certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner/Therapist (SAMP/SAMT) Licensed by the Washington State Health Department with additional training in Therapeutic Water Work.

We are experienced in dog training, behavior, and communication and skilled in reading a dog’s body language/cues. We are comfortable working with reactive dogs, and dogs who are in unfamiliar or potentially stressful situations.

We incorporate canine calming music and aroma therapy/essential oils as part of all our sessions to make your dog’s experience at our facility as relaxing and enjoyable possible.

Canine Swim Services

We are primarily a Canine Swim Therapy pool that also offers Canine Swim Sessions for Exercise (Fitness & Conditioning), and Canine Swim Lessons as we believe knowing how to swim is an important life skill for all dogs.

Please Note: We do not offer Self Swim Services.

All Canine Swim Services include a complete pre-session assessment.

No swimming experience, no problem.

We teach dogs how to swim as part of our Introductory Sessions whether they are visiting us for the first time for Therapy Swim Services, a Exercise (Fitness & Conditioning) Swim or Swim Lessons.

Benefits of Swim Therapy

As a Non-Load Bearing Movement, Swimming is Less Stressful For Dogs:

  • Supports Faster Recovery From Injury & Surgery
  • Facilitates Quicker Healing Due to Increased Circulation
  • Rehabilitates Injured or Surgically Repaired Joints
  • Aids in Pain Relief & Swelling
  • Aids in Recovery from CCL Injuries & TPLO Surgery
  • Aids in Recovery from Spinal Cord & Disc Injuries
  • Aids in Recovery of Front & Rear OCD
  • Increases Sensory Awareness & Improves Mobility After Neurosurgery
  • Provides Low Impact Exercise for Dogs of All Ages
  • Provides Comfort Care for Senior & Geriatric Dogs

Since dogs cannot swim continuously during a session and need rest breaks, and we believe all dogs can/do benefit from body work, we offer a minimum of light massage or body work for all dogs who visit our facility.

We also find that offering light massage to dogs during swimming lessons helps to relax the dog if nervous, and makes the overall session a more positive experience.

  • Improves range of motion and enhances muscles tone
  • Increases venous flow encouraging the elimination of waste/toxins, and facilitating quicker recovery Relaxes muscle spasms and relieves tension
  • Alleviates stiffness and restores mobility to injured tissue
  • Prevents Injury and loss of mobility
  • Reduces inflammation and swelling
  • Increases athletic performance including endurance
  • Improves animals overall disposition and enhances emotional health

Therapeutic Massage

Improves circulation, muscle tone, range of motion and supports general wellness. It enhances and supports the overall well-being of the animal, increases their comfort and quality of life. Ideal for all age levels, particularly older animals, or those convalescing or suffering from impaired heart or kidney function.

Canine Sports Massage

Focuses on deep tissue work to release muscles, joints and tendons. Alleviates pain, allows contracted muscles to release and increases blood flow. It supports overall health maintenance, as well as post injury rehabilitation and recovery for both working animals and pets. Used to prepare muscles before exercise or competition to promote flexibility.

Trigger Point Therapy

Used to address hard nodules that develop and cause hyper-irritability in the muscle where it has been injured, over-worked, stressed or has poor circulation. Trigger Points can cut off blood flow and oxygen causing stagnation, irritation, referred pain, and toxins to settle into the muscle. Trigger Point Therapy is the application of pressure to tender muscle tissue to release constricted areas, relieve pain, and improve dysfunction or compensation in other parts of the body.

Bowen Touch Balancing Therapy

Bowen Touch Balancing Therapy Is a non-invasive therapeutic technique consisting of gentle, yet precise soft tissue manipulation.  There are short rest periods between moves within a Bowen procedure, and through-out the session to allow the body to absorb the work. Bowen Therapy through its non-traumatic approach, resets muscles and reminds the nervous system of the original tissue memory; relaxed, elastic, toned and responsive.

Benefits of Bowen Touch Balancing Therapy

  • Releases muscle tension, contraction and spasms
  • Addresses areas of compensation due to injury, exertion, age, etc.
  • Reminds Nervous System of original “tissue memory”
  • Returns the body to its natural alignment and improves movement

Energy Work for All Animals

Please Note:  Energy Work Services can be conducted in person, via phone or on-line.

All Energy Work Services include a full pre-session consultation.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (eft)

A universal healing tool that can provide impressive results for physical, emotional, and performance issues. Working with the human and their animal, EFT involves tapping with finger tips on the Acupuncture Meridian Points. EFT helps to tune into the issue or problem proactively, while addressing associated disharmony. EFT utilizes the same meridian pathways as Traditional Chinese Medicine.

EFT Helps With

  • Training and behavioral issues
  • Chronic disease or illness
  • Event related performance anxiety or handling issues
  • Grief associated with loss or a challenging diagnosis
  • Issues adversely impacting the human/animal bond

The image to the right is an example of the EFT Tapping Points on a Horse.

When Reiki healing is used, universal energy flows into and through the practitioner, and then into the client. Reiki activates natural healing processes in the body, mind and spirit and restores physical and emotional well-being.

Benefits of Reiki

Animal communication is an integral part of all our body & energy work services, and is also offered as a stand alone service.

During body & energy we use telepathic connection via mental images, words, feelings or emotions as an additional assessment tool.

We also use animal communication to facilitate a connection and express our intention to help the animal.

We use these same skills during our Animal Communication sessions to connect with the animal to assist with a variety of situations.

Animal Communication Helps With

  • Behavior & Training Issues
  • Integrating new pets into ones home
  • Identifying potential health issues to assist with Veterinary diagnosis
  • End of Life Transition/Decisions
