Order Processing
Sales Tax:
Steady Companion and its vendors are required to charge Sales Tax for merchandise sold on our site within the states our headquarters, and the primary locations of our vendors reside. Actual Sales Tax is calculated as part of the check-out process, and is based on the Zip Code of the location where the order is being shipped.
Out of Stock Items:
If we are not able to fulfill your order due to out of stock items, you will be notified via email about any item(s) that are temporarily out of stock, or simply cannot be fulfilled. An immediate credit will be issued to your credit card or store credit will be issued.
Cancellations:
To cancel an order customers must send an email to contact@steadycompanion.com within 8 hours of when the order is placed. If the order has already been processed we are not responsible for the shipping costs incurred. Items may be returned per our defined Return Policy.
Orders Not Received:
Once an order has been shipped and there is a delivery confirmation, Steady Companion is not responsible for any theft of product or delivery to the wrong address. Customers must notify us within 15 days if an order is not received.
Refused Orders:
Should a customer decide to refuse receipt of an item when delivered by USPS, UPS or other carrier, and legitimately placed the order with Steady Companion, a credit will be issued for the item. Credit will be less shipping charges and minus the appropriate restocking fee as noted as part of our Shipping & Returns. The credit will be issued once the item has been returned to us and after inspection by a Customer Service Representative.

Shipping Policies:
We ship merchandise to locations within the United States including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. We also ship to Canada, but no other international locations at this time. Orders received from outside the continuous United States, may be charged an additional Shipping Destination Charges as follows:
- Canada = +$10.00
- Alaska = +$20.00
- Hawaii = +$20.00
- Puerto Rico = +$5.00
Surplus Shipping Charges:
Some items are considered Bulk or Fragile and require an additional shipping charge per item based on Shipping Provider Policies. Where applicable, the additional shipping charges for these products are highlighted in the product’s details.
Expedited Shipping:
Expedited shipping is available through UPS for domestic orders. If expedited shipping is required contact us at 425.260.2338 for a quote, and to have the additional charges added to your order. Expedited shipping choices include: UPS Next Day, 2 Day, and 3 Day shipping options.
Expedited orders must be placed before 12:00 PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday to receive guaranteed expedited delivery in the time frame specified; and only if items are in stock. Expedited delivery orders received after 12:00 PM Eastern Time or received on Friday/Saturday/Sunday tipically ship the next business day.

Return Policies:
At Steady Companion satisfying our customers is a business philosophy that we respect, practice, and emphasize.
Need to Return a Product?
All returns are required to have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number issued within 20 days of the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated on the item’s product page. Once a Return Merchandise Authorization Number is acquired, you have 10 days to return the item(s) to comply with most manufacturers published 30 day return policies.
You may return any unopened merchandise in its original condition, including original packaging within 30 days of purchase and you will receive a full refund less shipping costs Any shipping cost that you incur to return a product will not be refunded. No Refunds will be available after 30 days of receipt. Exchanges are available only if the product(s) are in their original packaging and unopened.
All returned items must be unused and in new condition in their original packaging including all hardware and instructional components. All returned items are subject to a 10% restocking fee, with exceptions listed below in the Restocking Fee Breakdown list. Any returned item deemed not to fall within the preceding criteria will be returned with no credit issued at the customer’s expense.
Once your return has been inspected please allow 15 days for credit to be applied to the credit card used for purchase. The nitial cost of shipping is not eligible for a refund.
To request your Return Authorization Number, please follow these steps:

- Between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pacific Time.

20% Restocking Fee:
Pet Beds, Dog Houses, Pet Ramps, Booster Baths, Booster Bath Ramps, Pet Gates, Doggie Dooley’s, Crates, Cages, Pens and Kennels, Exercise Pens, Pet Barriers and Pet Strollers.
15% Restocking Fee:
All Mendota Products are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
10% Restocking Fee:
All items not listed above are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
